Having a dress code at work means that half my closet is off limits during the work week. So on weekends, I relish in rolling around in the "comfortable section" that my closet has to offer. And while I'm never one to turn down a cozy sweater, there's a fine line between comfortably chic and looking like a dishevelled college kid who just stumbled out of the library at 4 am.
And this line starts with sweat and ends with pants. As in these need to be burned and banished, now and forever. I have never, ever seen any one pull them off stylishly. Not even Gisele. Plus, do you really want to flash back to those Paris Hilton Juicy velour track suit days? I didn't think so.
So next time you're itching for a pair of sweats, try a pair of these airy fisherman pants instead. They have been the crux of many of my favorite outfits of late and have been a lovely piece to experiment with a little pattern clashing. (They're also great for temple hopping in the tropics and reminds you of being at a beach front resort!) I promise they are equally comfortable and won't make you look like a walking balloon.
PS - This also makes for a great outfit for the plane; just add a cozy cardigan, a loose beanie to control that static-y hair and you're ready to snuggle up in style (no sardine can of a seat can get you down).
