What to wear: Chinese New Year / Valentine's Day

In anticipation of Chinese New Year, here's a red and gold look I recently wore. Keeping it short and sweet today because the turnip cakes, candied lotus seeds, and fried taro balls are calling my name.

Hope you all have a wonderful, heartwarming, belly stuffing time with your family.
Wishing you all the best in the Year of the Monkey!

PS - For those of you who don't celebrate Chinese New Year - you can just as easily rock this outfit for the upcoming Valentine's Day.  For other vday outfit inspirations, just check out my previous posts here (where I re-styled the same red sweater) and here. Oh and this post here on how to outsource your Valentine's day to the start up world might also be quite handy.

Top: Club Monaco (similar here)
Sweater: Gap (similar here)
Skirt: Urban Outfitters
Boots: Stuart Weitzman

(*While all items worn in this post are no longer on sale, you can easily achieve a similar red on gold look by pairing this top with this skirt.)
